Moving Checklist – Before and After

Remember about the Fridge
Clean and dry the inner of your refrigerator and place a handful of fresh coffee, baking soda or charcoal in a sock or nylon stocking in it to keep a fresh smell in the internal side.
Maintain your phone book
Don’t pack your phone book just as another item, keep it with you.
You will frequently need it to contact residents or businesses of your previous location.
Heavy vs. Light Items Packing
Remember to pack heavy items in smaller boxes and light items in larger box.
Provide your Phone Number
Give your van foreman your phone number, where he can reach you before he leaves
Also provide him any other alternative number, if you can’t be reached at that number.
Take Special Care about Your Memories
Carry it with your car if you think if it is irreplaceable; don’t regret later.
You can pack your framed photos or art by placing soft blankets or sheets in between for added protection.
How to Pack Plates and Records
Always remember, pack your plates and record albums vertically on end, don’t stack them horizontally.
Do not forget the Bare Necessities
The following essential things you would require when you arrive at your new home: Toilet paper, soap, a couple of pans, toiletries, paper towels, snacks, flashlight, pliers, can opener, screwdriver,coffee (and pot), paper plates, cups, utensils and telephone.
Keep a box to pack these essential items and let your van foreman to load it at last item, so that it can be unloaded first.
Opening Bulbs
Don’t forget to take the bulbs out of the lamp before packing.
Always keep your items Tagged
You must Tag all items and prepare to be a snag the maximum for your garage sale.
Always remember that most garage sale experts like to bargain a lot.
Set exercise for your kids
Let your children the new address on the cartoons in their room(s) to familiarize them with the new town and New street.
Make the Pet Relax
You should keep your pets calm and let them be watched by any friend at their house and keep them out of moving activities on moving day.
Cool off you Computer
After your computer reaches your new home, let it cool down to room temperature before you plug it
Relax when others work
Leave it to the professionals; relax for yourself and look for opportunities, friends, and experiences that are part of your moving story.
